Hyde Park Brew Fest– June 1-2- Downtown Hyde Park
I think we all know that Hyde Park has become a hot spot for Summertime Chi and the Hyde Park Brew Fest is one reason why. This “part beer-fest, street fest and food fest” brings a little something for everyone- including a great lineup of small business vendors to support. The festival is free, but beer tickets cost. Harper Court Summer Music Series: Club Stepping Under the Stars-June 6- Harper Court Courtyard- 5235 S. Harper Court

Juneteenth- Hosted by the Black Mall– June 15- The National A. Philip Randolph Pullman Porter Museum- 10406 S. Maryland
The Black Mall is keeping the tradition of Juneteenth alive with its 7thannual Juneteenth Celebration. This year’s festivities include a basketball and martial arts exhibition, live performances, vendors and is kicked off at 10 am with the Official Juneteenth parade at 10 a.m. This event is FREE.
Ice C.R.E.A.M Social by Brown Girl Project– June 20- The Silver Room
The kickoff event for Brown Girl Project takes place June 20. The Ice C.R.E.A.M Social is purposed to help women learn how to grow their money. Chi-Soul Fest– June 21- 22- Navy Pier
In honor of Black Music Appreciation Month, the Chicago Soul Music Festival aka Chi-Soul Music Festival is back at Navy Pier. This two-day event celebrates Chicago’s history of soul music, and showcases a great lineup of Chicago-based artists. Among the featured artists are Terisa Griffin, Sam Trump and more. Cost: FREE
